Gary Lee Speakman, affectionately known as "Gar Bear," passed away on Monday August 12, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by family, in Washington Court House, Ohio, at the age of 81. Born on August 31, 1942, in Clarksburg, Ohio. Gary led a life marked by hard work, simple living, and family.

Gary spent over 30 years working at Armco/Steelox. He loved his 4-wheel drive trucks, mowing grass, helping his family with farming duties and all the classic western television shows and movies. Gary and his wife would frequent Pigeon Forge, TN, for summer vacations.

In addition to his parents Pearl and Pauline, Gary was preceded in death by his brothers Bill Speakman and Richard Speakman.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Tanya Kingery-Speakman, his son Chris (Melissa) Speakman, Step Children: Scott Hammond, Amy (Dominique) Smith, Jaime (Sean) Bias Siblings: Kenny (Beverly) Speakman and Joyce Long.
